Workshop Maintenance Technician (Engineering Equipment Repair)

Contract Type: Temporary role with potential for extension
Dandenong based role
Salary: $85,000 - $91,500 package

About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on tradesperson with a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical or Fabrication) who can maintain and repair metalworking equipment, such as mills, lathes, welding equipment, and brake presses.

This role involves troubleshooting, performing regular maintenance, and ensuring that all equipment remains in safe working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain engineering workshop equipment, including lathes, mills, welding machines, and other fabrication tools.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Ensure OH&S compliance related to equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Liaise with staff and students to ensure the smooth operation of workshops.
  • Maintain records of repairs, servicing schedules, and equipment stock levels.
About You

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical or Fabrication) or equivalent.
  • Experience repairing and maintaining workshop machinery such as mills, lathes, welding equipment, and brake presses.
  • Strong knowledge of workshop safety standards (OH&S).
  • Hands-on experience with diagnosing and fixing mechanical faults in industrial equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
