Chandler Macleod is currently partnering with Blue Mountains City Council to recruit for a Senior Business Partner, Employee Relations. This is a 35 hour/week, 12-month fixed term contract based in Katoomba NSW.
This dynamic role will be responsible for:
- Supporting employee relations initiatives including industrial relations, performance management, workplace investigations, and dispute resolution.
- Sensitively managing relationships with Unions.
- Providing expert advice on industrial negotiations, grievance management, and other employee-related matters to internal & external stakeholders.
- Collaboratively networking with peers across the Local Government Portfolio and other public sector agencies to remain informed and involved on workplace matters.
What will you need to be successful in this role?
- Experience in Industrial/Employee Relations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in local government is beneficial.
- Proven experience in delivering employee relations programs and managing complex industrial relations cases & investigations.
- A strong understanding of HR principles, legal responsibilities, requirements and ability to implement these in the workplace.
