Position purpose:  Provide expertise and analysis to support the Strategy & Business Development objectives considering financial and social value, and technical and non-technical risks. Including but not limited to: 

• Develop and maintain financial and social models to support Strategy & Business Development objectives. 
• Evaluate new development opportunities and formulate business cases for corporate strategy development and growth projects.  
• Prepare presentation materials for and contribute to discussions with management and executive leadership on assigned project topics. 
• Perform ad hoc analysis, including market intelligence, to support executive decisions on complex issues, with limited direction and oversight. 
• Work with team members to coordinate analysis, project deliverables, and due diligence activities as appropriate. 
• Advance the understanding of complex problems by proposing novel approaches to analysis where appropriate and incorporating financial and non-financial value drivers. 
• Take initiative to make process improvements and standardise approaches 

 
Core activities
 

• Lead the robust evaluation of new opportunities and projects, incorporating financial, social, environment and other sustainability related value drivers 
• Lead financial modelling and analysis of specific Strategy & Business Development initiatives, including development of novel approaches to analysis to drive complex problem solving 
• Create new financial models and evaluation approaches or frameworks to support specific opportunities or projects 
• Lead other ad-hoc business analysis or project workstreams (e.g. concept level business case formulation and development, market sizing and diligence, operations support on critical initiatives, shared value workstreams) 
• Facilitate robust risk analysis, including identification of financial, social and sustainability critical risks and opportunities related to each project 
• Develop and enhance market intelligence including market reports around potential BD targets / opportunities 
• Develop presentations for executive stakeholders and working group collaboration 
• Coordinate and manage overall S&BD portfolio, including tracking of portfolio progress, management update presentations, communication and coordination with the rest of the team on initiative progress
