Are you passionate about shaping a thriving workplace culture and driving employee engagement? Join our client as a Senior people advisor on a 6 month contract and be the catalyst for positive change within this local government organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide advice, coaching and support to employees on a range of people management and employment relations (ER) matters, to minimise risk and improve culture and performance to achieve desired business outcomes
  • Coaching leaders to improve their people management capability
  • Providing advice on the interpretation of enterprise agreement and employment contracts
  • Participating in the identification, implementation and continuous improvement of employee relations initiatives, processes, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct workplace investigations in line with corporate policies and procedures
  • Conduct analysis on case management data to identify root causes and insights related to conduct, performance and fitness for work (non-work related) issues
Key skills and experience:
  • Degree qualification in Human Resources Management or a related discipline
  • Considerable HR generalist, employee relations and/or case management experience, ideally in a medium to large multi-disciplined organisation
  • Experience working with a field based blue collar workforce would be beneficial but is not essential
Essential Appointment Criteria:
  • Degree qualification in Human Resources Management or a related discipline
  • HR generalist experience in a medium to large multi-disciplined organisation
  • Considerable experience coaching, supporting and advising leaders on a range of HR matters, to achieve improvement in employee experience and business outcomes
  • Experience resolving workplace grievances and disputes and supporting leaders to manage performance, disciplinary and misconduct matters, at all levels
  • Knowledge in identifying and mitigating HR related risks with ability to resolve complex problems and issues to achieve effective outcomes
  • Relevant experience analysing and interpreting people data to inform business challenges and identify people related opportunities proactively.
