Road Maintenance Workers - Swan Hill

Chandler Macleod Group, in partnership with one of Victoria’s leading road maintenance providers, is seeking experienced Road Maintenance Workers for a casual role based at the Swan Hill Depot. This is a full-time hours position (Monday – Friday) with overtime opportunities.

About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for servicing roads throughout Northern and Western Victoria, carrying out maintenance and construction tasks, and responding to emergency incidents.
Your key duties will include:

• Inspecting the road network and rectifying hazards and defects
• Performing general labouring tasks
• Compacting, leveling, and spreading materials to form roads
• Routine road maintenance and obstruction removal
• Operating trucks, power tools, and machinery
• Participating in emergency response efforts, including after-hours call-outs and potential travel across Victoria

Requirements

Essential:

• White Card(Construction Induction)
• Medium Rigid (MR) Truck Licence
• Traffic Management Certificate
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks, including a medical assessment, drug and alcohol screening, and police check
• Basic proficiency in using tablets or mobile devices for reporting

Preferred:

• Plant operator competency
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Previous experience in a similar role

Standard work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime, after-hours call-outs, and local travel as required.
