Overview
Duties include, condition assessment, maintenance of asset registers and GIS data, site investigations, project scoping, works programs, witnessing electrical testing carried by electrical contractors and analyse inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake site inspections, audits and ensure the electrical and lighting assets are delivered comply with the business A5 standards and Australian Standards AS3000.
- Review handover as built documentations to ensure the documents are comply to business A5 standard and liaise relevant internal stakeholders to update asset registers and GIS data as required.
- Undertake other tasks and duties such as night inspection as reasonably required by the Manager.
- Using industry best practice and relevant numerical tools and engineering knowledge, investigate, conduct feasibility assessments and prepare project concepts to meet business objectives.
- Contribute to asset management planning, condition assessment, development and maintenance of the asset register, and asset mapping to support the management of electrical and lighting assets.
- Investigate the issues and complaints related to public domain Electrical and Lighting assets within the Local Government Area and liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders for appropriate actions.
- Provide technical and operational support to the Manager and Principal Engineer including the development systems, standards, and processes.
Essential Knowledge/Experience
- Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in investigating and reporting on matters related to public domain electrical and lighting assets.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in public domain electrical and lighting design, construction procedures and testing procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in applying technical knowledge in the provision of advice and solving problems in relation to public domain electrical and lighting issues.
- Knowledge and experience in project management skills including preparation of project briefs and development of works programs within public domain asset management environment.
- Proficiency in the use of latest software tools for public domain electrical and lighting designs and the proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and negotiation skills with a customer focus.
- Class C NSW Drivers Licence.
