Our Federal Government client is looking for Specialists with procurement & policy experience at the EL1, APS6 & APS5 levels & is offering a 10 month renewable contract (up to 12 months) & the positions are based in in Canberra, Brisbane & Melbourne.

Job description:
Key responsibilities of the role could include:

  • Contributing to project and program management, including large-scale procurement activities.

  • Supporting the design and roll-out of a national communications campaign.

  • Contributing to the establishment of accreditation and training requirements.

  • Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including a public inbox.

  • Managing and providing input to reporting, risk management and financial activities.

  • Collecting and analysing data to report on project outcomes.

  • Providing sound advice on program management to the Divisional executive and provide Ministerial/Cabinet and Parliamentary advice and support.

  • Analysing issues and contribute to the preparation and coordination of complex inputs to policy formulation.

  • Preparing, reviewing and advising on policy reports, briefing papers, speeches, Ministerial correspondence, Cabinet submissions and discussion papers for presentation to senior staff.

  • Contributing to corporate management, secretariat processes, planning and reporting processes.

  • Actively participating and contributing to a positive, inclusive, and supportive workplace culture.

  • EL1s would be required to play a key leadership role in the team, including leading on the above activities as appropriate and based on their experience/skillset and managing junior staff.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities and delivering work to a high standard with good attention to detail

  • Experience in project/program management and/or policy development and advice

  • Ability to build and manage productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
