Chandler Macleod is seeking a dedicated Plant Operator to support the team at Oakburn, Tamworth in performing equipment maintenance and administrative duties.
  • $28.79 + 25% casual loading | Monday to Friday 7 AM – 3:06 PM
  • Every second Saturday | Saturday penalties + allowances apply
  • Potential for permanency following probation

About the role
As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
  • Operating and maintaining the weighbridge system, accurately weighing trucks in and out, completing record sheets, and performing Chain of Responsibility (COR) checks
  • Operating and cleaning the Wastewater Treatment Plant
  • Efficiently loading and unloading trucks and filling bulk bags with finished products
  • Managing Biofilter operations and recording data
  • Performing general site cleaning and maintenance

About you
We are looking for a proactive, reliable and hands-on Plant Operator who is eager to contribute to a growing organisation. You will bring: 
  • A strong desire for long-term career growth
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems (or a willingness to learn), along with experience maintaining systems, including temperature and rate levels, and generating reports
  • A mechanically minded approach and physical fitness to perform manual tasks
  • A Forklift license (or willingness to obtain one)
  • A reliable work history and dependable transportation to work
  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry is advantageous
  • Full Australian work rights, including permanent residency or citizenship
You’ll bring a positive, team-oriented attitude, a proactive approach to plant operations, and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays when required.
