About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR/ER professional to join our clients People Advisory team on a temporary 6 month contract basis.
Reporting to the Manager – People Advisory, this role supports leaders in fostering a positive workplace culture and delivering outstanding service to their customers. As a Senior Advisor, you will play a key role in minimising risk, enhancing workplace culture, and driving performance improvements to help achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice, coaching, and support to leaders on various HR matters, including performance management, misconduct, grievances, fitness for work, behaviour, and team culture.
- Conduct workplace investigations of varying complexity.
- Mentor and develop leaders to enhance their people management capabilities.
- Interpret and advise on enterprise agreements and employment contracts.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of employee relations policies, processes, and initiatives.
- Support claims and disputes before regulatory bodies such as the Fair Work Commission and Equal Opportunity Commission (as required).
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Substantial HR generalist, employee relations, and case management experience, preferably in a medium to large multi-disciplined organization.
- Previous experience working with a field-based blue-collar workforce is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to provide pragmatic HR advice.
- Business-focused mindset with excellent relationship-building abilities.

This hands-on role will allow you to work closely with leaders to resolve issues effectively while contributing to a positive workplace culture.
There are flexible working arrangements on offer, including the option to work from home up to two days per week (subject to manager discretion) and flexible start and finish times.
