Management Accountant

Are you an experienced and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounting?  We are currently working with a leading mining company who is looking to engage an experienced and highly organised Management Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for an extension, Perth based.  This is an exciting opportunity to work within the dynamic Mining & Resources sector and make a meaningful contribution to their financial processes.

Start Date: ASAP
Roster: Monday to Friday – 5/2 – 7.6 hours per day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders before and during the month-end process to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare month-end journals in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide detailed commentary and analysis on month-end results.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather forecasts and contribute to budget preparation.
Skills & Experience:
  • CPA or CA qualification is essential.
  • Proficient in Power BI with the ability to manage and analyse large data sets.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify key trends.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience within the Mining & Resources sector is a plus.
