We are currently seeking applications from experienced Boilermakers for a casual limited tenure assignment at our defence client based in Osborne, commencing ASAP until 19/12/2025. The ideal candidate will come from a defence or heavy industrial background, with extensive welding and fabrication experience, along with a positive and hard-working attitude.
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering - Fabrication Stream
- National police clearance issued within 3 months
- Construction white card
- Confined Space ticket refreshed within 2 years
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the fabrication of large complex engineering, shipbuilding and construction projects
- Demonstrated expertise in reading and interpreting structural drawings
- Sound knowledge of welding processes including MMAW/GTAW (including Plasma/LPG oxy cutting)
- Strong attention to detail and focus on safe work practices and quality standards
- Australian citizen
- Own vehicle and current driver's license
Desirable:
- Experience in fabrication/plate work and large complex structures
- Heavy Engineering experience
- Hepatitis A & B vaccinations
- Basic computer operating skills
Applicants will be required to submit an application for the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Identification Card (NSSIC) following a successful interview. Current holders of an NSSIC will be strongly regarded.
