About Us:
Chandler Macleod are looking for a Works Controller for our client who is a leader in infrastructure and road maintenance services, committed to delivering high-quality outcomes through innovation and efficiency. We are seeking a Works Controller to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in coordinating and optimising our works program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the works program for responsible contracts, ensuring delivery within cost, quality, and time objectives.
- Monitor crew pre-start inputs and ensure compliance with Method of Approach (MOA) for every work item issued.
- Ensure crews have the necessary skills and qualifications to complete assigned work.
- Manage live monitoring of crews working on the network.
- Coordinate changes due to scope adjustments and time efficiencies.
- Provide input to PPC regarding daily activity trends, including planned vs. actual delivery.
- Support plant management and optimise resource usage across contracts.
- Assist the Planning Lead with stock control.
- Review program requirements and recommend resource adjustments.
- Enhance crew efficiency through daily review of planned vs. completed work.
- Share knowledge and participate in team discussions to drive business success and customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities for program planning and delivery optimisation.
- Maximise the use of Microsoft 365 suite to improve business processes.
- Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably in road maintenance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Experience with dynamic scheduling software is desirable.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with enterprise Asset and Works management/scheduling software.
- Exposure to Asset Management best practices.
- Strong project planning, organisational, and time management abilities.
