We are currently recruiting for a Project Design Manager
for our client, a NSW Government agency based in Parramatta. This is an initial 12 month contract but has funding until 30/06/2026 with a pay rate of $87.37ph + super for 40 hours per week.
This role would suit an Architect/Design Manager with a passion for design excellence and extensive experience in residential design, construction and delivery, particularly multi-residential projects and projects using the SSD pathway.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Development team with selection and procurement of design consultants including preparing scopes of work outlining planning requirements
- With the planner and the development team, provide guidance on interpretation of the site constraints and opportunities, and provide feedback on the design concepts submitted to ensure alignment with design standards and project requirements
- With the Development Manager, creating the briefing pack for the design team
- Undertake detailed Project design review incorporating a value engineering approach to support compliance with various LAHC Standards & Specifications, Statutory authorities such as NCC and relevant Australian Standards
- Qualifications in Architectural design Project Management and/ or demonstrable design management experience in an architectural or building contractor practice
- Previous experience as a Design Manager or similar on multi-story residential projects
- Extensive experience in the application of NSW building and planning laws
