Geology Technician - Residential NSW

We are seeking an experienced Geology Technician to join a leading mining operation in New South Wales. This residential role offers consistent work, a strong safety culture, and the ability to be home every night.
 

Job Description
This role presents an excellent opportunity to support a major mining operation as part of the core geology team. You will be responsible for the collection, preparation, and processing of geological samples and data, supporting accurate and efficient production activities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Collecting and preparing geological samples (including core, chip, and RC samples)
• Logging and data entry of geological information into site databases
• Assisting with core cutting, photography, and sampling procedures
• Ensuring compliance with QA/QC protocols
• Supporting geologists with daily operational requirements
• Maintaining strict adherence to safety policies and procedure

Job Details:

• Location: New South Wales (Residential Only)
• Roster: 5/2 – 4/3 (Day Shifts Only)
• Hours: 9.5 Hours Per Day
• Duration: Initial 6-Month Contract with view for extension
• Pay Rates: Starting from $50.00 an Hour, negotiable on experience

Requirements:
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have:

• A current Australian Manual Drivers Licence
• Previous experience in a similar geology technician or field assistant role (minimum 12 months)
• A strong commitment to safety and working in remote or high-risk environments
• Good level of physical fitness (manual handling and fieldwork required)
• Sound communication and data entry skills
• Must reside within commuting distance of site – this is not a FIFO role
