About the Client:
Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking for a part-time Executive Assistant to join their busy team for a casual 6-months temporary assignment.
About the Role
As an Executive Assistant, you will ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the executive office by managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling confidential information with discretion. In addition, your key duties are as follows:
- Managing emails, appointments and preparing briefing materials.
- Scheduling meetings, preparing reports and documents relating to committees and projects.
- Organising travel arrangements and supporting official functions on behalf of the General Manager, and other staff as directed.
- Providing guidance, support and quality assurance to staff at lower classification levels.
- Identifying and contributing to the resolution of issues and problems as they arise.
- Maintaining a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks.
- Assisting with maintaining risk management programs.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Proven experience in an executive assistant role, preferably within a government or large organisational setting
- Qualifications in business administration, management, office administration, project management is highly regarded
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Efficient time management.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Competence in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and other relevant tools for scheduling, document preparation, and communication.
