Disability Educational Support Officer

Location: Cremorne, Docklands, Broadmeadows and Essendon
Employment Type: Casual
Pay rate: $33/ph +super
Closing Date: COB Friday 11th April

About the Role:
As a Disability Educational Support Officer, you will work closely with students who have diverse learning needs, providing tailored support to ensure they can access and engage with their coursework effectively.
This role is vital in helping to create an inclusive learning environment that promotes equity and success for all.

Key Responsibilities:
-Provide in-class support and/or individual assistance to students with disabilities
-Assist with learning activities, note-taking, scribing, or use of adaptive technology
-Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the Student Support Services team
-Contribute to the development and implementation of individual learning plans (ILPs)
-Maintain accurate records of support provided
-Promote inclusive practices across the learning environment

About You:
You are a patient, empathetic, and adaptable individual with a strong commitment to inclusion and accessibility in education. You’ll bring:

-Experience working with individuals with disabilities (preferably in an educational setting)
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
-The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
-A relevant qualification in disability support, education, or related field (desirable)
-A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
-Willingness to travel to multi locations/campus
