Our client is a well-known State Government agency who are passionate about making NSW a better place to live, work and visit. Exciting opportunities now exist for Bridge Carpenters to join their dynamic team in Grafton and Macksville!

The Role:
The primary purpose of this role is to safely carry out all carpentry activities and other duties relevant to maintaining bridges and drainage structures. You will be working closely with other construction professionals, such as engineers, architects, and other tradespeople, to ensure that bridge maintenance projects are completed safely, accurately and on schedule.

  • Casual assignment until December 2025 - possibility of extension (permanent recruitment will be undertaken)
  • Casual pay rate: $44.51 - $46.74 per hour (depending on experience) + super and applicable allowances
  • Working hours: 76-hour fortnight + OT, 9-day fortnight, ADO’s on Fridays

Essential requirements:
  • Carpentry Licence/Trade Certificate – Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
  • Construction Industry White Card
  • Current unrestricted NSW C class driver’s license
  • At least 12 months experience in a Construction Carpenter Grade 1 role, or equivalent experience in bridge maintenance and construction
  • Must be willing to work away across various northern NSW regional locations– allowance applicable
  • Worker on foot ticket (or willing to obtain)
  • Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed
