About the role
The Assistant Project Officer role provides administrative support to the project team, including scheduling meetings, maintaining documentation, and tracking SO52 project progress.
The role will assist with downloading and reviewing relevant documents, regulatory materials, summarising key findings and identifying contentious issues.
Key accountabilities
- Provide a range of administrative and project support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with agency project management methodology.
- Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate the exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.
- Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
- Undertake research and analysis and interpret regulatory performance data and trends to support informed decision-making and planning.
About you
The candidate must be highly organised, with the ability to collaborate with others, work effectively in a team environment and confidently communicate key project achievements and risks. The ideal candidate is motivated, shows initiative, and is a problem solver.
Essential Requirements
- The role requires the ability to use SharePoint to sort documents into corresponding folders and excel to track documents. TRIM skills are also highly desirable.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of public education
- A valid Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
